Aroma Training & Blind Wine Tasting
We are taught to read, write and count... WHY NOT smell?... More than one
THOUSAND aroma molecules have been identified in wine... so far! These
molecules, in varying mixes and quantities, create a whole array of different aromas...
Some of these wine aromas are
primary, they are the expression of soil or climate.
Some are
secondary, developed during the winemaking process (fermentation). Then
come
tertiary aromas as a result of ageing.

developed by French wine professional & aficionado Jean Lenoir, you will
learn:
- how to recognize aromas... and simply develop your sense of smell!
- how to classify them and make the difference between aromas from the same
category
(fruits, flowers, spices...)

Blind Tasting
In the same time, you will also BLIND taste around 6 wines very representative of
specific areas from around the world. You will learn:
- how to taste wine
- how to detect grapes (or country of origin) based on the aromas you are scenting...
and that you learned to recognize in the 1st exercise.
